verdant green vintage styled wedding | south farms | morris, connecticut

Say bye bye winter!  We won't miss you!  We are looking forward to the earth's return of green goodness.

From Reverie Gallery ... "If you love baby animals as much as I do, get excited!  Today’s winter barn wedding styled shoot features a baby goat named Willy Nelson.  He is so adorable that he almost steals the show.  Corey Tucker of Corey Lynn Tucker Photography dreamed up this shoot and along with her team of amazing vendors, executed it perfectly.  The venue, South Farms in Morris, Connecticut, is gorgeous. The vintage touches mix so well with the rustic style of the barn to create a styled shoot to die for!"

This spring equinox vintage inspired wedding was calling for verdant green.  Yesterday was St. Patrick’s Day and spring just a few days away, babies are being born and the birds are calling an end to our long New England winter. Who wouldn’t crave the fresh green burst of verdant green ferns. I have a love for antiques and barns and supporting local business. I discovered South Farms last summer at The Morris Marketplace (farmers market).  My friend, Amanda Glover of Amandabakes was selling delicious cider donuts from her Airstream and she introduced me to Ben Paletsky, the owner of South Farms. He was converting his third generation barn into a wedding and events venue to preserve the historic beauty for everyone to enjoy. He also raises grass-fed Galloways and is growing hops on the farm. With my love of historic places and farms, I dreamed up a mood board, styled, and planned this shoot by recruiting talented vendors to join in the magic-making dream team. We had an extra special guest join us, Willy Nelson, a baby goat who stole everyone’s hearts. I wanted to add that tender touch of new birth and the hope of spring. South Farms has that rustic charm that just calls to your soul with tremendous open views of farm land and pastures with plenty of room for any event.
